ADAM Moldovita is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, which was started with the help of the initiative group “A village for a village” (Een dorp voor een dorp) Kruibeke – Belgia ( brother-village with Moldovita village) and with the support of FDAAM .
The purpose of the Mutual Help Association ADAM Moldovita is the improvement of life quality for the inhabitants of the village through the economic-social and cultural development.

The Association develops its activity on departments having the following objectives:
Public Health Department:
- the increase of the inhabitants accessibility to medical services.
- renovation of medical units
- the built or renovation of the buildings that will serve the purposes of the Association.
- putting at the disposal of association members (through buy, concession or rent) buildings and spaces for the development of the activities.
- the raise of medical services quality through the use of medical and recovery equipments (donated), sanitary materials from Belgium and training stages for medical personnel.
- the diversification of medical services (day center, home care)
- negotiation with medical services providers (public or private), local authorities, organizations or institutions, financially accessible services for all members of the association.
- promotion of the social health care in relation with medical services providers (public or private), local authorities, organizations or institutions.
- the increase of member responsibility towards their state of health.
- education for health
- improvement of life and hygiene conditions
- gathering a group of volunteers who can develop activities for the community
Social Department:
- creating a favorable climate a social plan for the local community
- support for disfavored persons lacking any material or familial support
- establishing a social structure on varied levels, accessible to any local (gathering a group of persons who believe in the same values).
IIS Department (Study Investments):
- has as main objective the financing of pupils from families that do not have the necessary means to offer them financial support to finish secondary, high-school or college studies.
- increase of the chances to be competitive on the labor market.
- education of young people in the perspective of becoming better citizens of the community, of the country and of Europe.
GLT Department (Local Youth Groups „Golden Star” – Moldovita)
- encouraging young people who want to become volunteers within the Association.
- support and organize of activities for the fight for the right of children and young people.
- initiation of activities for the prevention social exclusion of children and young people, equality of chances for all of them.
- promotion of creativity, knowledge and exploitation of traditional culture and other European countries culture.
- initiation of knowledge, recovery and protection for the surrounding environment.
- encouraging children and young people involved in artistic creation to participate in different local, national and international cultural manifestations in partnership with other non-governmental organization, for the promotion of local and national values.
- starting a documentary center regarding the preoccupations of young people in contemporary society.
- promotion of the European citizenship principles.
- editing of publication regarding the purpose and activity of the Association for the purpose of making it more popular, and to draw as many young people as members as it can.
- integration of the Association I a national/international network that will favor the collaboration with associations and institutions from Romania and other countries.
- support for groups of young people from other villages that want to start their own lacag youth group.
- organizing of training strategies for the volunteers of the association.
- starting national/international camps for children and young people.
- elaboration and practice of socio-cultural programs and national and international partnerships that can financially support the purposes of the Association.
„Tourism and culture” Department
- economic development through tourism, preservation and valuing the natural and cultural potential.
- promotion of cultural, ethnographic and folkloric values of he area through tourism;
- development of durable tourism: mountain, ethnical, ecumenical, equestrian, ecological so that in the future Moldovita to become an eco-tourist village.
- drawing Romanian and foreign tourists to visit the area, easing contacts between tourists and community.
- easing the access of tourists to public and administrative authorities and financial institutions from the area of influence of the association.
- organizing tourist activities through which the contact with local and foreign communities is set;
- encouragement and support to start school workshops in order to preserve traditional crafts and refreshing of the popular wear;
- the Association will start and develop rural tourist pensions, agro-tourist and eco-tourist pensions, and agro-tourist farms, school work-shops for crafts, folkloric singing groups of different ethnic groups within the community.
- initiation, organization and coordination of activities for the protection of the surrounding environment through national and international organizations;
- organization of expositions and shows, festivals, conferences, symposiums and other manifestations that will make known the spiritual and material values of the community.
- assurance of connection between the Romanian and foreign associations and foundations that develop similar or complementary activities in order the purpose of the association through the setting and promotion of data, info, publications, experts exchange and other forms of cooperation, participation ro national and international manifestation in the same field as the association;
- draw of local and foreign investments for the valuing of tourist resources of the area.
- initiation, organization and coordination of different activities of research in the activity fields of the association, cultural, sports and hobby activities, financed through various programs, based on programs created by the association;
- gathering, creating and editing documentary, scientific and info materials and editing a periodical publication regarding the activities of the association;
- reorganizing the Village Museum and the tourist info center, continuous initiation of action towards the development and promotion in these points;
- granting specialist assistance and representing community’s general and specific interests in report with third parties and organizations.
Results:
Now, within the Association ADAM Moldovita are active a local youth organization ( Golden Star Moldovita) and a local women organization. With the support of these local organization and in partnership with local institutions various activities have developed:
- card manufacture for different events;
- celebration of various events: 8th of March, Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day etc;
- offering materials and financial support, to members of the association affected by the floods of July 2008.;
- participation to courses and seminaries;
- collaboration with National and International organizations and foundations.
- promotions and preservations of local traditions and local customs through organization and involvement in cultural activities: national drawing contests etc
- putting the basis of a rental center for recovery equipments.
- signing contracts with dentists in order to offer quality services at social prices for the members of ADAM Moldovita;
- offering educational lessons on medical themes, with pre-school pupils and pupils from School Group „Vasile Cocea” Moldovita;
- house calls for disabled persons and helping them through the support of volunteers.;
- offering the new-born package to ADAM Moldovita members;
